You are an inspiration to all
Only one comment on your grants-- please work with the smaller clubs, less well funded programs. The big clubs have the $$, and the smaller ski hills do not have the safety equipment that is needed.
thank you |

Fellow Charlotter - Nice website! I met your mom at the drug store, which was awesome. It was really comforting to talk to her because she knows what I am going through too. I suffered an incomplete T12L1 break, broke my neck, got a TBI and did 4 ribs. I saw that you have flown with your SCI which I am intersted in because I am going to fly to see a riding (horse) competition later this summer and don't know what to expect. Next time you are home we should get together. You're awesome, good work.

Kelly, You are truly inspirational. For those of us struggling with handicaps of our own (brain disease), one only needs to look at your strength of spirit and optimism to keep smiling. Thank you and all the best to you.

Hi Kelly,
I just read your story. You are such an amazing person. I have Spina Bifida and I do not know if I could deal with a disability latter in life. I've had 33 years to get used to my disability. You're amazing! Keep up the positive attitude!

Hi Kelly,
I am looking forward to skiing with you in Vail over Thanksgiving and have heard great things about you off on your own. I also hear you have a new ski, shorter and thought I would let you know, that I just don't turn race skis anymore and love the twin tip these days.
Amazing work you have done with your foundation, it's an incredible journey and you are off and running! See you soon,
Sarah Will
PS- I will be so excited to have an excuse to get out and ski and leave the desk behind, so thanks! |

Kelly,
I use to race on your Dad's sailboat "Brandywine" back in the 1980s and got to know him and and your mother at that time. I was very sad to hear of your skiing accident, but not at all surprised at your remarkable recovery and inspirational spirit. You come from very strong stock and I am sure that the work of your foundation will make a big differece for ski safety and the support for disabled skiing.
My wife and I are proud to sponsor our close friend David Allen (of Charlotte) to ride in your event later this month. Please say hello to your Mom and Dad for me.....I will always appreciate their friendship and what your Dad taught me about sail boat racing (in spite of his constant yelling in my ear as I trimed the main sheet on Brandywine).
Sincerely,
Vaughn Collins

Hi Kell-Bell!
Jeff and I are excited to ride on Saturday! A couple of people suggested to me that next year maybe there could be a 25 mile loop so they could participate too (or even ride your route) as they are not into long distances, but would love to participate....just a thought! Good luck and see you soon- xoxoxKim |
