Hi Kelly. Just talked to your uncle Tim Seaton from Houghton, MI. He mentioned your story & told me to check-out your foundation. YOU ARE MY HERO! My husband & I both raced back in High School...a very, very long time ago, and I am so glad to see your push for safety! We also have one of our sons friends who has a Spinal Cord Injury from a diving accident who I gave your information to. He also spent alot of time at the rehab in Colorado. Hope your bike ride raises lots of money! You are such an inspiration! YOU GO GIRL!

Dear Kelly and Family,
I have just decided to enter the race with my dear friend Mya for her birthday. I am a former ski racer and assistant coach at Middlebury.

I met my husband Willem as my ski coach. He has just finished treatment for non-hodgkins cancer in his lymph system and is riding and did ride through his treatment. I decided to give up my red bike nashbar, that I bought from Steve Parino at Burke, and get one of those nice new bikes that many people, including Willem, have been riding so that I can get back onto the road and be a participant in your inspirational race. Although I have seen you at the bowl and want our children to know you, I look forward to meeting you and your crew for the future.

Fondley,

Jean Cherouny, Ripton VT

Wow.... What a great story. Michele and I would love to meet Kelly. It would also be important for Kelly to to speak to the students at my former Middle School in Queensbury, New York (I was the Principal for 26 years).

You are an inspiration to my son Bryan who was injured in a drunken driving accident 8 years ago. Your courage helps others dig deep to find there own.

You are an inspiration to all

Only one comment on your grants-- please work with the smaller clubs, less well funded programs. The big clubs have the $$, and the smaller ski hills do not have the safety equipment that is needed.

thank you

Fellow Charlotter - Nice website! I met your mom at the drug store, which was awesome. It was really comforting to talk to her because she knows what I am going through too. I suffered an incomplete T12L1 break, broke my neck, got a TBI and did 4 ribs. I saw that you have flown with your SCI which I am intersted in because I am going to fly to see a riding (horse) competition later this summer and don't know what to expect. Next time you are home we should get together. You're awesome, good work.

Kelly, You are truly inspirational. For those of us struggling with handicaps of our own (brain disease), one only needs to look at your strength of spirit and optimism to keep smiling. Thank you and all the best to you.

Hi Kelly,

I just read your story. You are such an amazing person. I have Spina Bifida and I do not know if I could deal with a disability latter in life. I've had 33 years to get used to my disability. You're amazing! Keep up the positive attitude!

Michelle
