Ski Racing Safety Grant Program

The Kelly Brush Foundation Ski Racing Safety Grant Program awards grants to ski and snowboard clubs and organizations that are unable to afford the safety equipment needed for ski races. The purpose of this grant is to prevent severe accidents by increasing the level of safety at ski races. Typically organizations awarded with grant money will use the funds to purchase safety items such as netting, padding, and markers. Organzations interested in applying for a Ski Racing Safety Grant must submit financial statements and a proposed use of funds. Individual Grant Program

The Kelly Brush Foundation Individual Grant Program awards grants to individuals with paralysis due to a spinal cord injury (SCI). The purpose of the individual grant program is to increase participation in adaptive sports and recreation activities and improve the quality of life for individuals living with SCI. The individual grant program allows economically disadvantaged individuals with SCI to purchase adaptive sporting equipments such as a monoski or a handcyle. In order for an individual to qualify for the grant he or she must be living in the United States and must supply the Foundation with information about their spinal cord injury, details on their source of income, and a description of the type of equipment they are seeking. Spinal Cord Research Grants

A percentage of the funds raised each year are distributed as research grants to hospitals and organizations conducting research that focuses on treating and curing paralysis.

United States Disabled Ski Team

A portion of the funds raised each year are donated to the United States Disabled Ski Team. The money donated is used to support year-round athlete training, development, competition and educational needs. The U.S. Disabled Ski Team receives no federal funding or subsidy moneys and operates solely through private donations from individuals, coporations, and foundations.
